The Norrland Cock & Cider is a four transistor fuzz pedal with 2 gain stages with diodes in a feedback loop and a tone section containing the combination of a high pass and low pass filter. This type of tone section leads to a loss of mids, but it can go from a very thick bassy sound to a thin nasal sound. It's basically a very extreme tone control. The diodes in the feedback loop compress and clip the signal. The switch removes the diodes, leading to more volume, less compression, less gain and a more open sound, similar to an overdrive. In this setting the bass response also becomes greater as sustain increases. Those looking for long sustain will be pleased with this pedal.
